Shoppers at Cherryvale Mall were evacuated Sunday evening.

During the last minute shopping madness, around 7 p.m., shoppers were instructed to leave by an automated system.  Mall officials tell Eyewitness News, the evacuations came after a fire alarm had gone off.  Security then went to check it out, and found it to be a false alarm.

No one was hurt during any evacuation procedures.

The mall is open for business.
