Officials with Chicago Rockford International Airport say they’re in discussions to offer chartered flights to Cuba from Rockford.
An airline, which RFD is in a confidentiality agreement with and cannot provide a name, is requesting information regarding charter flights, so they would not be regular flights.
A survey will be conducted to garner interest.
“The survey itself goes to 65,000 and we expect up to 4,000 responses,” said Ken Ryan, Business Development Director, RFD. “That is not enough to entice a new airline, but is part of a package of info we give to bring new business to RFD.”
