City First Church announces special Kids’ Easter Experience

News

A Rockford church is hoping its special holiday program will bring in people who don’t regularly attend church this Easter.

City First Church, at 5950 Spring Creek Rd, Rockford, will be having four special Easter services Sunday, which will include a Kids Easter Experience in addition to services from Pastor Jeremy DeWeerdt.

After each service featuring an inspirational message and live music, the church will have a Easter Egg Factory to let children see how Easter eggs are made, and will provide free treats and photo opportunities.

“You just come right as you are,” said Lisa Seaton, the Creative Director at City First. “You don’t have to be cleaned up. You don’t have to fit a certain mold to come to church. This is a place where every single person is welcome.”

The church will hold Easter services at 8:30am, 10am, 11:30am (with Spanish interpretation), and 1pm.
