ComEd Prepares for Potentially Severe Weather


ComEd is closely monitoring and preparing for severe weather that may affect parts of the Rockford region on Wednesday evening.

Current forecasts call for rain and wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour. ComEd has increased crew staffing and is readying equipment to respond quickly in the event of outages.

“We understand the impact of power outages on our customers,” said Terence Donnelly, executive vice president and chief operating officer, ComEd. “The ComEd team is committed to work around the clock to safely restore power interruptions as quickly as possible.”
