“Comedy for Peace” Show Coming to Rockford

News

Sometimes during hard times — it’s good to find some comedic relief. And this morning we had “Comedy for Peace”  organizers join us to talk about the upcoming event!

Waunie Neal and Trevin Barmore decided to help promote change by coming up with the show and inviting some pretty big headliners to come to the Rockford area. The comedians who will be part of the September 23rd line up includes Pierre from “How to be a Player,” Reginald Ballard from the show Martin, AJ Johnson, and hosted by BET Comic View’s BLT.

Some of the proceeds will go to the Ambassadors AAU basketball team.

The event is taking place at the Rockford Theater located at 323 Park Avenue in Rockford.

You can purchase tickets at Classic Cuts Barbershop (1014 S. Main St.) or online at www.centerstagecomedy.eventbrite.com.
