Community honors Caylee Anthony’s thirteenth birthday

Caylee Anthony

The Orlando community remembers Caylee Anthony, on what would have been her thirteenth birthday.

Thirteen purple balloons were released yesterday, by Caylee’s grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony, in her memory. Caylee’s favorite color was purple.

She disappeared ten years ago, when she was two. Caylee’s mother, Casey Anthony, waited over a month to report her missing.

Her body was discovered six months later in the woods near her home, after her third birthday, but was too badly decomposed to determine a cause of death.

Casey Anthony was charged with first-degree murder, but was found not guilty in July of 2011.

The Anthony family later came out and said that Caylee drowned in the family swimming pool, but the case remains unsolved.
