Coroner identifies 39-year-old woman killed in N. Main car crash

A 39-year-old woman, who was killed in a car crash on North Main Street near Roscoe Road late Sunday afternoon, has been identified.

Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz said Barbara Whitescarver died of blunt trauma of the head and neck as a result of the crash.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 6:15 p.m. to find a blue Dodge pickup which had hit a tree.

Whitescarver was transported to a local hospital and she was pronounced dead in the ER.
