Couple delivers baby in Chick-Fil-A bathroom

The Griffin family has always loved to eat at Chick-Fil-A, but it was not exactly the place they’d expected to deliver their baby.

According to KSAT, Fallon Griffin began having contractions on Tuesday night, so she and her husband, Robert, headed to the hospital – but not before dropping off their two older daughters with a family friend in the Chick-Fil-A parking lot.

It was there that Fallon knew the time had come.

Although the restaurant was closed, the couple banged on the door and begged the staff to let them use the restroom.

“I didn’t know I was going to have a baby in there! I was going to the restroom,” Fallon said.

“I looked at her and said, ‘We’re going to do it right here, right now,'” Robert said.

It was at 10:30 p.m. that Baby Gracelyn made her grand entrance.

“I stopped her at her shoulders, because I saw what looked to be a white collar around her neck, and it was the cord that had been wrapped around her neck twice,” Robert said.

He managed to get it off, saving his daughter’s life.

Fallon says it all began to set in while she was waiting for the emergency services to arrive.

“Oh my gosh, we just had a baby in Chick-Fil-A. I was like, ‘This really happened. How is this my life, right now?'” she said.

Gracelyn Griffin, now three days old, slept in her dad’s arms at University Hospital on Thursday evening in a “Little Nugget” Chick-Fil-A onesie her parents had bought her three months ago, never knowing how appropriate it would be.

Chick-Fil-A has granted Gracelyn free Chick-Fil-A for life and she’s guaranteed her first job at age 14. The franchise owners are already helping her plan her first birthday at Chick-Fil-A.
