Daughter of cancer survivor donates colorful quilt to inspire other patients

The daughter of a cancer survivor is giving back to the hospital staff that helped her mom in the battle for her life.

Catherine Tydberg stitched together a quilt for the patients at the Swedish American Regional Cancer Center in Rockford.

The pattern of the quilt is called “What Cancer Cannot Do.”

The quilt features cancer ribbons and fabric with sayings like “Cancer cannot steal humor” or “Cancer cannot kill friendship.”

Catherine hopes the quilt will brighten the spirits of patients.
