DeKalb Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Girlfriend

A DeKalb man is behind bars, accused of murdering his girlfriend and then hiding her body.

Officers did a welfare check at Moorea Desroches’ home on Kimberly Drive Sunday night. Police say they found Desroches’ body inside a bedroom closet.

Investigators believe she and her boyfriend, Michael Kupin, 20, got into a fight. Kupin allegedly beat her and then stabbed her several times.

Kupin is charged with first degree murder among other charges. His bail is set at $2 million dollars.
