Police recognized a man who allegedly robbed Holcomb Bank in Creston earlier Tuesday and arrested him this afternoon.
The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office says they received a holdup alarm from Holcomb Bank at 400 E. IL Rte. 38 in Creston around 2:04 p.m. on Tuesday.
Employees of the bank told officers that a man wearing a black hat and Chicago Bears jersey with a bandage on his face robbed the bank and then fled on foot.
During the investigation, a deputy allegedly recognized William Wayne Clark II from previous meetings with him.
Clark was arrested for a Class 2 Felony and taken to the Ogle County Jail.
