Downtown Trolley Art Tour shows people new Rockford murals

A trolley took people on a downtown tour of art Sunday.

The trolley picked people up at the Riverfront Museum Park and at the Wired Cafe Alley to explore downtown.

All the rides were free and stopped at the new murals downtown.

It was part of Cre8IV: transformational ART Mural Festival. It’s one of many ways the state of Illinois is working with cities to bring tourism to each town.

“I usually stay in the house a lot, so this is really fun to get to experience and look out at the beautiful murals,” said Sari Watson.

Sunday was the last day of the Cre8IV: transformational ART Mural Festival.
