East High School Taking Part in NFL’s 50th Super Bowl Anniversary

East High School will help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl.

High schools that have graduated a Super Bowl participated in the last 50 years will receive a gold-colored leather football from the NFL.

Ira Matthews, a 1975 East High School graduate and member of the Oakland Raiders Super Bowl XV championship team, is presenting East with a gold football on Tuesday.

Byron High School also already received a golden football from alumnus and Super Bowl XLVII champion Sean Considine.
