Eight juveniles arrested for crime spree on Rockford’s northwest side

Eight juveniles, from age 12-17, were arrested by Rockford Police for a series of crimes on the city’s northwest side.

Police say the suspects, who were all acquaintances, but were not believed to be affiliated with an organized gang, were allegedly involved in robberies, burglaries, stolen vehicles, and criminal damage to property.

The following charges were issued by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office:

Juvenile Male, 17: Burglary
Criminal Damage to Property
Possession of a Stolen Vehicle

Juvenile Male, 14: Armed Robbery (4 counts)
Robbery (2 counts)
Burglary (2 counts)

Juvenile Male, 14: Burglary (3 counts)

Juvenile Male, 14: Possession of Stolen Property (2 counts)
Probation Violation

Juvenile Male, 13: Armed Robbery
Aggravated Battery (2 counts)

Juvenile Male, 12: Burglary
Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
Criminal Damage to Property

Juvenile Male, 12: Burglary (2 counts)
Criminal Damage to Property
Criminal Trespassing

Juvenile Male, 12: Burglary (3 counts)

Police say all eight were arrested earlier this month.
