The River District Association has announced a new, one-day music festival to take place in downtown Rockford on September 22nd.

Entitled ‘Fall for Rockford’ the new event hopes to become an annual tradition, to take place in the 100 and 200 blocks of North Main Street in Rockford’s River District from 2-8pm.

The free-admission concert festival will include food more than a dozen area restaurants, including Baker Street Burgers, Lucha Cantina, The District, Wok n Roll by Bamboo, and Sugar Jones.

The entertainment lineup includes country artists Adam Doleac and Jay Allen, along with soulful pop stylings of Chicago’s Danielle Juhre and UNITY, a reggae band.

“The River District Association is providing an opportunity for residents and visitors to experience all that downtown has to offer, and in the same token, build community pride,” said Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara.
