The death of a Rockford woman is now being liked to a deadly car crash in Racine County, Wisconsin.
WISN reports Destiny Tolodxi’s black Pontiac crashed into the rear of a CAT excavator in a construction zone on I-94 Friday morning, about 100 miles away from where she was found dead later.
The driver of the car was the only one inside when the G6 GT went up in flames. They were pronounced dead at the scene and still remain unidentified. The Milwaukee ABC affiliate says officials from Winnebago and Racine counties will begin working together on Monday.
A woman killed in southwest Rockford has been identified.
The Winnebago County Coroner says 24 year-old Destiny Tolodxi of Rockford was found dead in the 600 block of Atwood Ave.
Investigators say her body was discovered at around 4 p.m. in a bedroom of the house. They were called in by a family member and no one else was inside the home when police arrived. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office along with the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office are investigating it as a suspicious death.
An autopsy for Tolodxi is scheduled for Tuesday.
