A Rockford man has pled guilty to weapons charges after being caught with guns and ammunition after already facing charges for harassing a witness.

Police pulled over a vehicle back in April in the 1000 block of Haskell Avenue for a traffic stop. The female driver of the vehicle gave police permission to search it. During that search, they found two handguns and several rounds of ammunition in a shoebox in the car.

The driver told police that Michael Diamond Alize Blue, 21, had given her the guns and ammo and asked her to bring them to another person’s house. A records check on Blue showed he was on parole for a felony charge of harassment of a witness.

On Monday, Blue pled guilty to charges of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He will be sentenced on September 14. He faces up to 13 years in prison.
