Rockford Firefighters say mother nature made battling an early Thursday morning fire difficult.
This happened happened at 1330 16th Avenue, just after midnight. When crews arrived, they found a garage completely engulfed in flames in the alley. They say they were able to get the fire under control in about 10 minutes, despite the wind chills and temperatures. The fire caused about $15,000 in damage. There is no word on what sparked it.
While our videographer was there, the fire re-kindled, and we alerted the fire department so they could come back out and put out hot spots.
