Firefighters have put out a large commercial truck fire in Poplar Grove.
The call came in at around 10:30am for a truck fire at the intersection of Route 76 and Dawson Lake Rd. near the Candlewick Lake subdivision.
Firefighters arrived to find the back of the truck fully engulfed, with witnesses seeing smoke from the blaze from several miles away.
Fortunately, the box truck was empty and the driver managed to get out unhurt.
The Fire Marshall believes the fire may have started in the vehicle’s brakes.
