Four boys in Delaware, all under the age of 15, have been charged with kidnapping and raping a girl, police said Friday.
According to a statement released by the New Castle County Police, the attack took place on December 11th.
The News Journal of Wilmington cites court reports which state that the girl was heading home on a school bus when a schoolmate stole her phone and forced her into a house, where she was forcibly raped by four boys.
The four teens were arrested in connection with the crime on January 16th, following an investigation by police, which obtained video of the rape recorded on the victim’s cellphone.
Police say two of the assailants also menaced the victim with a knife and a gun after the rape and warned her not to tell anyone.
The alleged assailants are charged as juveniles in the crime.
A 13-year-old was charged with Felony Rape, Kidnapping, Aggravated Menacing, Conspiracy, Felony Unlawful Sexual Contact, Terroristic Threatening, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Theft of under $1,500.
A 14-year-old was charged with Felony Rape, Kidnapping, Conspiracy, and two counts of Unlawful Sexual Contact.
A 12-year-old was charged with Felony Rape, Kidnapping, Conspiracy, and Unlawful Sexual Contact.
A 13-year-old was charged with Felony Rape, Kidnapping, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Menacing, Conspiracy, and Unlawful Sexual Contact.
