Free legal advice offered through Rockford Public Library

The Rockford Public Library is partnering with Prairie State Legal Services to provide free legal help to residents.

The sessions are held every third Thursday of the month at the The Hart building in downtown Rockford from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and every second Tuesday of the month at other library locations.

An attorney with Prairie State will meet with people about their individual legal problems. Sessions are held at a first come first served basis, and booking an appointment ahead of the session is recommended.

The Next sessions will be held at these locations:

February 14- Montague Branch, 1 P.M. to 2 P.M.

March 14- Rockton Center Branch, 11 A.M. to 12 P.M.

April 11- Rock River Branch, 1 P.M. to 2 P.M.

May 9- Montague Branch, 1 P.M. to 2 P.M.

Prairie State Legal Services is a non-profit that provides civil legal help at no cost.
