Freeport swears in new interim police chief


FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) — The City of Freeport swore in Matthew Summers as Interim Chief of Police on Friday as the city looks to find the next person to lead the department.

Summers replaces former chief Todd Barkalow who retired over the summer.

Summers is a 25 year veteran of the department.
