All the hard work and long nights of studying are finally paying off for some Rockford students.
Graduating students at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford took part in National Match Day Friday. After four years of medical school, they found out where they’ll be spending their residency.
“I matched into Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente – San Diego, CA,” announced student Walter Zavala.
Based on medical specialties and interviews, students are matched with residency programs through a computerized process. They ranked their preferences with programs that rank their preferred applicants.
