Gas prices could increase because of storm

ILLINOIS (WTVO) — Did you fill up your gas tank today? You may want to.

While gas prices haven’t jumped across the Stateline, other parts of the state aren’t as lucky.

Gas prices jumped 30-cents overnight at many stations around Central Illinois, they’re topping out at $2.99.

Tropical Storm Berry down in Louisiana apparently is the cause of that hike.

In the Rockford area, AAA reports a gallon of regular is averaging $2.85, which is about the same as it was last week.
