A gas station clerk is hit in the head with a handgun during a robbery in Rockford.
Two suspects entered the Phillips 66 on Linden Road around 11:45 Tuesday night. One of the suspects, carrying a handgun, struck the clerk as he demanded money from the register.
The suspects are described as two black men in their early 20s.
The clerk suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
