20-year-old Antoine Sims, one of three people suspected of killing a 21-year-old Georgia woman and setting fire to her car to hide the crime, was arrested in Beloit on Sunday afternoon.
Beloit Police say they took Sims into custody following a foot chase in the 2700 block of Scotties Drive.
Detectives from the Beloit Police Department and the U.S. Marshals followed “credible information” that Sims, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, was in Beloit.
Sims, along with 20-year-old Michael Smith, and 18-year-old Deshaun Flournoy, are suspected of shooting and killing Adelisa Muratovic on October 29th, 2018.
Sims is suspected of setting a car on fire in Lawrenceville with Muratovic’s body inside.
According to WXIA, police believe Murtatovic, Smith and Flournoy went to an apartment in Johns Creek to meet Sims and buy drugs. Police say Smith and Flournoy tried to rob Sims while Muratovic was waiting in the car.
Police say all three men started shooting and Muratovic was hit by a bullet.
Investigators believe Sims drove her body to Lawrenceville and set fire to the car.
Smith is also in custody for the crime.
