A 12-year-old girl and her dog were killed when they were hit by a car while she was chasing her beloved pet. Now, her mother says the girl and her dog will be buried together.
Jennarae Goodbar was training her dog, Cash, outside her home on Saturday when the dog took off, running onto Route 60, family members told WTVR.
A driver was unable to stop in time, and hit and killed both Jennarae and Cash.
“On day of service [Cash] will be placed in there with [Jennarae] and be buried together,” Donna Jean Stuples said. “She bought her with her own cash. It was her baby.”
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. A GoFundMe page was set up to help the family pay for the unexpected expenses.
“She will always be remembered as a sweet, energetic, dog loving, hunting loving little girl,” a note on the GoFundMe page read. “A little girl who touched the lives of many.”
