Girl Scout Honored for Saving Young Boy’s Life


The girl scouts of Northern Illinois held their annual Cookie Kick-off with the IceHogs at the BMO.

Hundreds of girl scouts were in attendance to get people excited for the 2017 cookie season, which marks the 100 year anniversary of sales of cookies by girl scouts.

The celebration also honored one special girl from north Aurora who was chosen to the drop the game puck.

9-year-old Greta Arndt was recently awarded the Girl Scout USA Medal of Honor for saving a young drowning boy this past June.
