Grand Jury: Suspect indicted in killing of McHenry County Deputy, faces possible death sentence

On Tuesday, a federal grand jury indicted Floyd Brown, 39, for the killing of Special Deputy United States Marshal Jacob Keltner earlier this month.

The indictment charges Brown with one count of killing an officer of a federal agency engaged in, and on account of, the performance of official duties, one count of illegal possession of firearms by a convicted felon, and one count of illegal possession of firearms with an obliterated serial number.

The charges carry the maximum sentence of life imprisonment or death.

Brown is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday for his arraignment.
