“Guns and Hoses” Charity Ice Hockey Game


Rockford residents gathering at the BMO today to watch hockey and support local law enforcement at the “Guns and Hoses” charity ice hockey game. Guns, being Rockford Police and hoses being the Rockford Fire Department. Police Chief Dan O’Shea says he’s excited to have some “friendly competition” between the two departments.
“Police and Fire are always trying to support the community and the charities and it’s fun,” said O’Shea. “Cops and firemen always have a great working relationship and then have a ton of competition.”
Afterwards residents also got to see the Icehogs take on the Charlotte Checkers. Part of tickets sales will go to the Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund.
