Homeless Man Arrested for Attempted Armed Robbery of Burger King

A man has been taken into custody after trying to rob a Rockford fast food chain.

The attempted robbery took place around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Burger King at 1138 E. State Street. Employees at the restaurant say a man entered, passed them a note demanding money, then took off prior to getting any money.

Police identified the suspect as a homeless man, Logan Cottrell, 28. He was arrested a short time later and charged with attempted robbery.
