Hononegah High School administrators have a plan for the deflated dome on campus.
The dome collapsed on Jan. 4th during winter break due to an ice storm. School officials say they’re working with other districts and municipalities to find alternative venues for events.
Officials will ask the Board of Education to approve funds to accept bids for repair and temporary inflation of the dome. They say it’ll allow them to fix certain spots so it can be partially inflated, remove equipment inside, then seal the floor from the weather. The dome will then be deflated again until they can determine a permanent solution.
No students or staff will be allowed to enter the dome during the project.
Officials say they still don’t know what caused the dome to collapse.
