House Speaker Paul Ryan Endorses Donald Trump

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) finally gave his nod of approval to presumptive GOP presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

Ryan endorsed Trump in a column submitted Thursday to the Janesville Gazette.  This comes after the two met last month to bridge the gap between Trump and the republican party.  In his column, Ryan wrote:

“It’s no secret that he and I have our differences.  I won’t pretend otherwise.  And when I feel the need to, I’ll continue to speak my mind.  But, the reality is, on the issues that make up [the republican] agenda, we have more common ground than disagreement… That’s why I’ll be voting for him this fall.”

Ryan went on to bash Hillary Clinton, who will likely represent the democrats in the election.

He said Clinton will not support any republican ideas.  “A Clinton White House would mean four more years of liberal cronyism and a government more out for itself than the people it serves.  Quite simply, she represents all that our agenda aims to fix.”
