Illinois asks help assessing Stephenson County flood damage

News

Flood waters may have receded, but residents living along the Pecatonica and Rock Rivers are still struggling with cleanup.

The Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) has asked for a joint damage assesment from representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

If enough of the affected properties show major, uninsured losses, the agency says that would clear the way for business owners to get low interest, long-term loans through the SBA.
