Illinois To Help With Louisiana Flood Relief

Illinois is lending a hand to Louisiana as the state tries to recover from deadly flooding.

The Dept. of Central Management Services loaded up pallets of 100,000 sandbags, 45 cots, and 2 water purification systems.  The Red Cross says the flooding in Louisiana is the worst natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy four years ago.

It’s expected the disaster will cost at least $30 million, but that number could grow.  In one area, 31 inches of rain fell in only 15 hours.
