Raptors fans celebrate historic NBA Championship win in Toronto


The Toronto Raptors and fans paraded through the city Monday morning to celebrate Canada’s first ever NBA Championship title.

A rally will also be held at Nathan Phillips square.

The Raptors beat the Golden State Warriors 114 to 110 in Game Six of the NBA Finals Thursday night.

This is the first time the Raptors reached the NBA Finals in the team’s 24-season history.

Toronto Mayor John Tory said June 17th will be celebrated as “We the North Day” to remember the historic win.

Rockford’s Fred VanVleet scored 22 for Toronto.
