Investigators: Fire in Janesville Basement Traced to Dehumidifier

Firefighters think they know what caused a basement fire in Janesville this weekend.

Crews arrived to smoke billowing out of a building at 3506 North Highway 51. They traced the smoke down to the basement where a small fire had ignited.

Investigators say a dehumidifier caught fire which caused extensive smoke damage.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out and no one was injured.
