The crime rate was the 2nd lowest in the given timeframe, with 2016 being the lowest.
All crimes tracked by the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting program showed reductions from 2017, except aggravated assaults, which increased from 93 to 106 incidents. Total UCR crimes decreased by seven percent from 2017.
There was one death due to criminal homicide and four teen deaths due to opiate addictions.
