A woman is arrested after being caught breaking into a Janesville bar and subsequently being tied to 10 other burglaries in the area since early July.

Around 5 a.m. Monday, Janesville officers responded to the Drunken Monkey Bar in the 1800 block of Center Avenue for an alarm. When they arrived, they found a female suspect inside. The woman refused to exit, and a K9 unit was brought in to get her out.

After getting her in custody, police identified the woman as Amanda Rodden-Clawson, 25. They connected her to several other similar burglaries that have taken place since July 1 in Janesville, two of which took place at the same bar she was caught at.

Other burglaries include two incidents at Bad Brad’s Bar on Rockport Road, one at Game Day Bar on Jackson Street and another at Down the Street Tavern on Jackson Street. She’s also accused of breaking into vehicles at Best Events on Center Avenue on two different occasions, trespassing and damage done to Alt Financial on Joliet and retail theft at the Kohl’s on Milton Avenue.

Rodden-Clawson is charged with nine counts of burglary, seven counts of theft, five counts of criminal damage, two counts of operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, and one count each of obstructing, retail theft and trespass.

She is being held at the Rock County Jail.
