An alert clerk helped Janesville Police crack a burglary case involving stolen collector coins.

Just before 2am Monday, investigators say three teen suspects entered Casey’s General Store on Center Avenue and tried to pay with the coins.  The clerk called police, who determined the coins came from “The Coin Shop”, which had been burglarized.

The teens were still at Casey’s when an officer took them into custody.  They face several charges including burglary, theft, and obstructing an officer.
