K Cancer Softball throws a fun fair for kids with cancer

News

A local softball team throws fun fair for Stateline kids diagnosed with cancer.  K Cancer Sotfball put on a Fun Fair at Loves Park’s Bison Sports Warehouse.  The event aims to help kids who have cancer forget about treatments and being sick and instead have a night of laughter and fun.  The fun fair was full of games, toys, and even a bounce house for the the kids and their families to enjoy.  Seeing how happy the kids are makes this event worth it to the volunteers.

“When we bring in these patients we really just want them to have a fun night and our main goal is that as long as they walk away smiling then that’s what we really want to see”, said Emma Walberg, a Youth Advisor Executive Board Member.

A softball game was scheduled to be apart of the fun but had to be cancelled due to the weather.
