Kasich Drops Out of Presidential Race

Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) announced Wednesday he dropped out of the presidential race.

Donald Trump is now the presumptive nominee for the republican party.  Trump’s other opponent, Sen. Ted Cruz, suspended his campaign following a landslide loss in Indiana Tuesday night.

Kasich finished a distant third in Indiana.  In a press conference, Kasich said he knew it was time.

“As I suspend my campaign, I have renewed faith, deeper faith that the Lord will show me the way forward,” said Kasich.

Kasich also commended his staff saying that they knew they were being outspent, but continued to fight as hard as they could
