A KISS block party was held in honor of their performance at the BMO Harris Bank Center tonight.
Party-goers just had to show their concert tickets to be able to attend. In addition to food and drinks, a costume contest was held.
Tonight’s concert was extra special for one boy. This is 9-year-old Hayden’s first concert ever, and the band has very special meaning to him.
“My dad died when I was young. He liked KISS. And then I got into KISS when I was young,” said Hayden Merrick.
“He kind of started listening to some of the music his dad listened to as a kid, and now it’s KISS,” said Hayden’s mom, Jeanine Shumaker.
KISS also just performed at the Illinois State Fair. Their tour continues in Ohio on Monday.
