Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the U.S. and time is critical to minimizing its effects when someone suffers one, because of that, OSF Saint Anthony is offering free training to the public.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, people are encouraged to come attend a seminar featuring stroke experts from OSF Heathcare, Saint Anthony Medical Center and Illinois Neurological Institute. They will discuss the sign of stroke, and the immediate steps that need to be taken when a stroke hits.
The seminar is open to everyone and completely free, but registration is required. To do so, click here or call 309-624-4091.
The event is in the Foundation Room at Saint Anthony. Refreshments will be provided.
