Largest Illinois Union to Votes to Strike

Illinois’ largest employee union begins a strike vote.

State labor officials declared the two year negotiation talks between the Governor Bruce Rauner (R-IL) and AFSCME at an impasse.  The votes don’t guarantee a strike, but will decide if members want to give their bargaining committee the power to call one.

Union employees will continue submitting their votes until Feburary 19th.
