List: Stateline-area snow emergencies in effect Friday

The following cities have declared a snow emergency ahead of this weekend’s winter storm, starting today:

The City of Belvidere has declared a snow emergency for Friday. No parking is allowed on public streets until they have been cleared.

The City of Beloit has declared a snow emergency beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday. Vehicles are prohibited from standing on city streets during a snow emergency, and vehicles that are will receive a ticket and/or be towed away. The recycling drop-off center will be closed Saturday.

The City of Freeport has declared a snow emergency beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, and is instituting the odd/even parking ordinance for 72 hours.

The City of Janesville has declared a snow emergency beginning at 10 p.m. Friday. Vehicles are not allowed on the streets until they have been completely plowed.

The City of Rockford has declared a snow emergency beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday. The odd/even parking ordinance is in effect throughout Friday and Saturday. Vehicles must switch sides on Saturday morning starting at 8 a.m. Violators face a $50 fine.

The City of South Beloit has declared a snow emergency beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday. All snow related ordinances within the city will be enforced.

The Village of Cherry Valley has declared a snow emergency and will implement its winter parking ordiance starting at 3 p.m. on Friday. No vehicles are allowed to park on the streets until the snow has been cleared. The downtown areas within the Village will go into effect starting 2 a.m. – 6 a.m. on Sunday.

The Village of Davis has declared a snow emergency, starting Friday. 

The Village of Loves Park has instituted a parking ordinance that does not allow any vehicle on the street after 2 inches of snow has fallen. 

The Village of Machesney Park has declared a snow emergency beginning at 6 p.m. Friday. No vehicles are allowed to park on a roadway until the road has been cleared of snow. Violators face a fine of up to $100.

The Village of Poplar Grove has declared a snow emergency beginning at 6 p.m on Friday. Parking on the street is prohibited.

The Village of Winnebago has instituted a parking ordinance that does not allow any vehicle on the street after 2 inches of snow has fallen.
