ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Public Schools are commending sixteen students from Eisenhower Middle School who saved the life of a bus driver who experienced a medical emergency.
The school district wrote on the 205 VIBE Blog, that on Friday, September 20th, a bus driver began experiencing chest pains and had to pull over.
While some of the students tended to the driver, others went to a neighbor to get help and call 911.
The district says the driver is recovering, and is publicly recognizing the following students for their “courage and heroism.”
