2 AK-47s, 3 handguns, drugs recovered in Rockford narcotics raid

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — 19-year-old Emilio Brito Jr. and a 17-year-old juvenile male were arrested Thursday morning during a narcotics raid.

Winnebago County Police executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of Green street at approximately 9 a.m.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department said they had located marijuana, over $20,000 cash, a rifle, three handguns and two AK-47 rifles, one that was equipped with a 100 round drum magazine.

Police said one of the handguns had an obliterated serial number.

According to officials, Brito Jr. was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of firearm without an identification card and possession of ammunition without an identification card.

The 17-year-old juvenile male was charged with possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, police said.
