ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Five people are facing charges after a month-long narcotics investigation by Rockford Police.
Police say they received numerous complaints of suspected drug dealing in the 200 block of North Madison Street.
Detectives identified Michelle Savaiano, a bartender at Busters Bar (7113 N. Alpine Road, Loves Park) as a suspect, and say she took at least one delivery at her place of business.
Police say they identified several people who were either buying or selling Savaiano’s drugs.
After search warrants were executed in the past month, detectives recovered two firearms, cocaine, hydrocodone and cannabis.
Savaiano, 38, was charged with two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Christopher Bird, 33, of Freeport, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Kody Lewis, 26, of Rockford, was charged wit Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Erich Tresemer, 43, of Rockford, was charged with two counts of Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon, Possession with Intent to Delivery Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Police have issued a warrant for James Earlywine, 35, of Dakota, for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Police say they are continuing to investigate the link to Busters Bar, and say additional arrests are possible.
