ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — On Saturday, August 3rd, around 3:15 pm officials were sent to the 4600 block of Governors Drive for a possible shooting victim, police said.
Upon arrival officials found a 26-year-old male victim that had been stabbed several times with non life-threatening wounds.
The victim was in his apartment located at the 4600 block of Trevor Cir when four suspects forced their way into his apartment. One suspect was armed with a handgun, but no shots were fired, officials said.
According to authorities after the incident the victim ran to Governors Drive seeking help.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, treated and later released.
The suspects are three black males and one white female, officials said.
